This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012 :

  • 01/01/2016 – Les Avenières devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein des Avenières Veyrins-Thuellin (38022) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle des Avenières Veyrins-Thuellin en lieu et place des communes des Avenières (38022) et de Veyrins-Thuellin (38541) devenues déléguées.
