This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012:

  • 01/01/2018 – Écouché reste déléguée au sein d'Écouché-les-Vallées (61153) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2018 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Écouché-les-Vallées en lieu et place des communes d'Écouché-les-Vallées (61153) et de Fontenai-sur-Orne (61173).
  • 01/01/2016 – Écouché devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Écouché-les-Vallées (61153) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Écouché-les-Vallées en lieu et place des communes de Batilly (61027), de La Courbe (61127), d'Écouché (61153), de Loucé (61236), de Saint-Ouen-sur-Maire (61441) et de Serans (61470) devenues déléguées.
