This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012:

  • 01/01/2019 – Hermillon devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de La Tour-en-Maurienne (73135) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de La Tour-en-Maurienne en lieu et place des communes du Châtel (73080), d'Hermillon (73135) et de Pontamafrey-Montpascal (73203) devenues déléguées.
