This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012:

  • 01/01/2016 – Romagny devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Romagny Fontenay (50436) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Romagny Fontenay en lieu et place des communes de Fontenay (50189) et de Romagny (50436) devenues déléguées.
