This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012:

  • 01/01/2017 – Châteaugiron devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Châteaugiron (35069) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Châteaugiron en lieu et place des communes de Châteaugiron (35069), d'Ossé (35209) et de Saint-Aubin-du-Pavail (35254) devenues déléguées.
