This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2012:

  • 01/01/2016 – Avrilly devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Chambois (27032) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Chambois en lieu et place des communes d'Avrilly (27032), de Corneuil (27172) et de Thomer-la-Sôgne (27634) devenues déléguées.
