This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Airvault devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Airvault (79005) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Airvault en lieu et place des communes d'Airvault (79005) et de Tessonnière (79325).
