This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2015 – Tinchebray devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Tinchebray-Bocage (61486) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2015 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Tinchebray-Bocage en lieu et place des communes de Beauchêne (61031), de Frênes (61177), de Larchamp (61223), de Saint-Cornier-des-Landes (61377), de Saint-Jean-des-Bois (61410), de Tinchebray (61486) et d'Yvrandes (61513) devenues déléguées.
