This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2017 – Briey devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Val de Briey (54099) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Val de Briey en lieu et place des communes de Briey (54099), de Mance (54341) et de Mancieulles (54342) devenues déléguées.
