This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Portbail devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Port-Bail-sur-Mer (50412) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Port-Bail-sur-Mer en lieu et place des communes de Denneville (50160), de Portbail (50412) et de Saint-Lô-d'Ourville (50503) devenues déléguées.
