This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2016 – La Membrolle-sur-Longuenée devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Longuenée-en-Anjou (49200) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Longuenée-en-Anjou en lieu et place des communes de La Meignanne (49196), de La Membrolle-sur-Longuenée (49200), du Plessis-Macé (49242) et de Pruillé (49251) devenues déléguées.
