This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2017 – Montours devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein des Portes du Coglais (35191) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle des Portes du Coglais en lieu et place des communes de Coglès (35083), de Montours (35191) et de La Selle-en-Coglès (35323) devenues déléguées.
