This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2017 – Brignogan-Plages devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Plounéour-Brignogan-plages (29021) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Plounéour-Brignogan-plages en lieu et place des communes de Brignogan-Plages (29021) et de Plounéour-Trez (29203) devenues déléguées.
