This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Plouagat devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Châtelaudren-Plouagat (22206) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Châtelaudren-Plouagat en lieu et place des communes de Châtelaudren (22038) et de Plouagat (22206) devenues déléguées.
