  • 01/01/2019 – Marennes devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Marennes-Hiers-Brouage (17219) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Marennes-Hiers-Brouage en lieu et place des communes d'Hiers-Brouage (17189) et de Marennes (17219) devenues déléguées.
