This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2016 – Saint-Geniez-d'Olt devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Saint Geniez d'Olt et d'Aubrac (12224) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Saint Geniez d'Olt et d'Aubrac en lieu et place des communes d'Aurelle-Verlac (12014) et de Saint-Geniez-d'Olt (12224) devenues déléguées.
