  • 01/01/2019 – Virieu devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Val-de-Virieu (38560) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Val-de-Virieu en lieu et place des communes de Panissage (38293) et de Virieu (38560) devenues déléguées.
