This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2017 – La Bréole devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Ubaye-Serre-Ponçon (04033) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Ubaye-Serre-Ponçon en lieu et place des communes de La Bréole (04033) et de Saint-Vincent-les-Forts (04198) devenues déléguées.
