  • 01/01/2016 – Argenton-les-Vallées devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Argentonnay (79013) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Argentonnay en lieu et place des communes d'Argenton-les-Vallées (79013), du Breuil-sous-Argenton (79053), de La Chapelle-Gaudin (79072), de La Coudre (79099), de Moutiers-sous-Argenton (79187) et d'Ulcot (79333) devenues déléguées.
