This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2016 – Provenchères-sur-Fave devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Provenchères-et-Colroy (88361) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Provenchères-et-Colroy en lieu et place des communes de Colroy-la-Grande (88112) et de Provenchères-sur-Fave (88361) devenues déléguées.
