This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2011:

  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Tarcenay-Foucherans en lieu et place des communes de Foucherans (25250) et de Tarcenay (25558).
  • 01/01/2019 – Tarcenay (commune chef-lieu) est rattachée à Tarcenay-Foucherans (25558) (commune nouvelle).
