In Q1 2022, the rise in house prices continued House price index - first quarter 2022
In Q1 2022, the house prices in metropolitan France continued to rise: +1.4% compared to the previous quarter with seasonnally adjusted (s.a.) data, as in the Q4 2021. The prices have slowed down compared to the previous quarter for new dwellings (+0.7% after +1.4% in the previous quarter). They evolved on the same pace for second-hand dwellings (+1.5% after +1.6% in the previous quarter).
Year on year, the rate of price growth is slightly the same (+7.0% after +6.9% in the previous quarter). Second-hand dwellings prices grew faster (+7.3% y-o-y) than new dwellings prices (+4.6%).
House prices increased once again in Q1 2022

Revisions
Compared to the previous publication, Q4 2021 indices were revised to include observations that had not yet been recorded. The quarterly variation in new dwellings prices in Q4 2021 remained the same compared to the previous publication (+1.4%). The variation in second-hand dwellings was slightly revised downwards (+1.6% instead of +1.7%). All in all, housing prices quarter-on-quarter variation in Q4 2021 was revised downwards by 0.1 points (+1.8% instead of +1.9%).
