This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 15/12/2015 – Chemillé reste déléguée au sein de Chemillé-en-Anjou (49092) (commune nouvelle).
  • 15/12/2015 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Chemillé-en-Anjou en lieu et place des communes de Chanzeaux (49071), de La Chapelle-Rousselin (49074), de Chemillé-Melay (49092), de Cossé-d'Anjou (49111), de Valanjou (49153), de La Jumellière (49169), de Neuvy-en-Mauges (49225), de Sainte-Christine (49268), de Saint-Georges-des-Gardes (49281), de Saint-Lézin (49300), de La Salle-de-Vihiers (49325) et de La Tourlandry (49351).
  • 01/01/2013 – Chemillé devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Chemillé-Melay (49092) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2013 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Chemillé-Melay en lieu et place des communes de Chemillé (49092) et de Melay (49199) devenues déléguées.
