  • 01/01/2017 – Aunac devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Aunac-sur-Charente (16023) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2017 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Aunac-sur-Charente en lieu et place des communes d'Aunac (16023), de Bayers (16033) et de Chenommet (16094) devenues déléguées.
