This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Domfront devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Domfront en Poiraie (61145) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Domfront en Poiraie en lieu et place des communes de Domfront (61145), de La Haute-Chapelle (61201) et de Rouellé (61355) devenues déléguées.
