This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Mazé devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Mazé-Milon (49194) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Mazé-Milon en lieu et place des communes de Fontaine-Milon (49139) et de Mazé (49194) devenues déléguées.
