This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Montrichard devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Montrichard Val de Cher (41151) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Montrichard Val de Cher en lieu et place des communes de Bourré (41023) et de Montrichard (41151) devenues déléguées.
