This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2019 – Plouigneau devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Plouigneau (29199) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2019 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Plouigneau en lieu et place des communes de Plouigneau (29199) et du Ponthou (29219) devenues déléguées.
