This municipality has experienced contour changes since 2010:

  • 01/01/2016 – Les Essarts devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein d'Essarts en Bocage (85084) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle d'Essarts en Bocage en lieu et place des communes de Boulogne (85030), des Essarts (85084), de L'Oie (85165) et de Sainte-Florence (85212) devenues déléguées.
