Over a year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) should rise by 0.4% in February 2021, after +0.6% in the previous month, according to the provisional estimate made at the end of the month. The inflation should decrease due to the downturn in manufactured goods prices and the slowdown in service prices and food prices. The inflation should be practically stable for tobacco and energy prices should fall less, over a year, than in the last month.
Over one month, consumer prices should fall back by 0.1%, after +0.2% in January. The decrease in manufactured goods prices should accentuate due to the two-week extension of the winter sales. The food prices should fall back and those of tobacco should be stable. The service prices should grow at the same rate as in the previous month and those of energy should accelerate.
Year on year, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices should rise by 0.7% after +0.8% in January. Over one month, it should be stable after +0.3% in the previous month.
