In four out of ten recent couples, only one spouse owns or rents the home
In 2013, in 38% of couples cohabiting for less than four years, in which the man or woman is under 60 years of age, one of the spouses lives with the other, sole home owner or tenant. Six times out of ten, it's the woman who is living with her spouse.
Men living with their spouse are less frequently in work and less frequently managerial staff than the others.
Among recent couples, 21% are blended families: at least one child born from a previous union of one of the spouses lives with the couple.
