In 2015 in France, 1.8 million jobs in companies were under foreign control
In 2015, foreign multinational companies employed 1.8 million people in France, excluding the agricultural and financial sectors. These jobs are concentrated mainly in mid-size companies as well as in industry and trade. Out of the 118 countries controlling companies in France, the United States and Germany are leading the way.
In France, companies under foreign control earn 16% of the added value and 22% of the research and development costs of all non-agricultural and non-financial market sectors.
