Market services in 2015 more robust growth
In 2015, the value added of non-financial market services grew by 1.4% in volume, after +1.1% in 2014 and +0.6% in 2013. It represented 34% of the value added of the French economy. Corporate and government demand accelerated, particularly investment (+4.8% after +2.0% in 2014). Household consumption of services increased, but more moderately (+1.4% in volume, after +0.9% in 2014). IT services remained one of the most dynamic sectors and activities related to culture and leisure picked up pace. Employment recovered, with gains of 122,000 full time equivalent jobs (+1%). However, the foreign trade deficit widened.
