This book of “Insee References” collection, “ France and its territories”, presents a selection of main statistics about regions, as they are divided up nowadays, and as they will be on January 1st of 2016. You will find an overview of each of the thirteen new metropolitan regions, and also of each of the overseas regions. This overview is completed by some studies dealing with economical and social topics. The last part of the book compares french regions and similar european regions.
