In May 2012, the turnover was steady in the manufacturing industry (0.0%), after +0.5% in April. Exports strongly increased (+5.1%).
In May 2012, the turnover was up in the manufacture of food products and beverage (+1.4%), in the manufacture of transport equipment (+1.0%) and, to a lesser extent, in electrical and electronic equipment ; machine equipment (+0.2%). It was stable in the other manufacturing (0.0%) whereas it sharply fell in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–6.2%).
In May 2012, the turnover of industry as a whole went up by 0.3%. Over the same period, it was steady in construction (0.0%).

In the last quarter (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry decreased (–0.2%). It declined in the manufacture of transport equipment (–2.4%), in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–3.0%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.2%) but rose in the other manufacturing (+0.7%) and in the manufacture of food products and beverage (+1.6%).
Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover went up (+1.1%) in the manufacturing industry.
