In April 2012, the turnover rose in the manufacturing industry (+0.8%). It declined in March (–1.7%). Exports were steady (0.0%), after –3,7% in March.

In April 2012, the turnover rose in the manufacturing industry (+0.8%). It declined in March (–1.7%). Exports were steady (0.0%), after –3,7% in March.

In April 2012, the turnover was up in the other manufacturing (+1.0%), particularly in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (+7.6%).

The turnover increased in April 2012 in the manufacture of transport equipment, particularly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+3.7%).

Over the same period, the turnover also grew in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+1.1%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+1.1%).

On the contrary, the turnover fell in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.1%) in April 2012.

In April 2012, the turnover of the industry as a whole (B to E) modestly increased (+0.2%).

In the last quarter (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry was broadly flat (+0.1%). It declined in the manufacture of transport equipment (–2.4%) but rose in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+4.4%).

Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover went up (+1.8%) in the manufacturing industry.
