According to the business leaders interviewed in March 2012, the situation in the retail trade and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles slightly recovers: the synthetic indicator increases by four points but remains below its long-term average.

Recent sales have stayed unfavourable. However, if they still have been depressed in trade and repair of motor vehicles, they have continued to go up in retail trade. In the whole retail trade and trade and repair of motor vehicles, expected sales are less deteriorated but ordering intentions stabilise, each of the two balances remaining below its average. General business outlook progresses, sign that the retailers are a little less pessimistic about the economic situation in the trade sector.
