In December 2012, the turnover increased signifi-cantly in the manufacturing industry (+2.2%), after a fall in November. Exports rebounded (+2.7%). In December 2012, the turnover of industry as a whole went up by 2.1%.

Decrease over the last three months…
Over the quarter (q-o-q), the turnover decreased moderately in the manufacturing industry (–0.8%). It fell in the manufacture of transport equipment (–3.1%), in other manufacturing (–1.0%) in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–2.3%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–1.1%).
…and over the last year
Year-on-year, the turnover decreased in the manufacturing industry (–0.9%). It plummeted in the manufacture of transport equipment (–5.9%). On the other hand, it soared in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+4.1%).

In December 2012, the turnover rose sharply in other manufacturing (+3.0%), mainly in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+5.1%) and in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (+3.3%). The turnover in manufacture of transport equipment rebounded (+4.1%) after a three-month-fall. It went up in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+2.4%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.5%).
On the other hand, the turnover fell considerably in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–4.1%).
