In January 2012, new orders in industry increased (+0.7%) Industrial new orders index - January 2012

In January 2012, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) increased by 0.7% after a slight decrease in December (-0.2%). However, non-domestic new orders decreased by 0.6% after a strong increase in December (+2.8%).

In January 2012, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) increased by 0.7% after a slight decrease in December (-0.2%).

However, non-domestic new orders decreased by 0.6% after a strong increase in December (+2.8%).

Over the last quarter, new orders increased in industry (+0.4%)

During the last quarter (q-o-q), new orders strongly increased in the car industry (+3.7%). On the other hand, new orders slightly decreased in the “other manufacturing” sector (-0.2%) and in the “electrical and electronic equipment” (-0.5%).

Compared to last year, new orders are lower (-0.4%)

The last three months’ level of new orders is 0.4% lower than a year ago.

Meanwhile, non-domestic new orders remained higher by 1.8%.
