In June 2011, the turnover fell by –2.7% in the manufacturing industry, after a rise (+2.0%) in May. Exports dropped (–3.8%, after +3.0% in May).
Every indices in this issue are in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.
In June 2011, the turnover fell by –2.7% in the manufacturing industry, after a rise (+2.0%) in May. Exports dropped (–3.8%, after +3.0% in May).
In June 2011, the turnover was significantly down in the manufacture of transport equipment (–6.1%), both in the manufacture of motor vehicles (–5.2%) and in the manufacture of other transport equipment (–7.9%).
The turnover also decreased in the other manufacturing (–2.4%), in the electrical and electronic equipment ; machine equipment (–2.9%) and in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–1.4%).
It was stable in the manufacture of food products and beverages.
The turnover of the industry as a whole (B to E) also fell in June (–2.5%).

In the last three months (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry grew by 0.4%. It particularly increased in the other manufacturing (+1.0%) and in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+2.0%).
Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover in manufacturing industry rose by 9.2%. It was particularly up in the other manufacturing (+8.6%).
