In hyper and supermarkets, prices of frequently purchased goods has been stabilising since the begining of the year.

In large and predominantly food stores, prices of frequently purchased goods declined by 0,1% in April 2014 after they remained unchanged for the previous three months. In the other kinds of stores, prices of frequently purchased goods also decreased by 0,1% in April 2014.

Prices went down by 0,1 % in the hyper and supermarkets between April 2013 and April 2014

As during every month of 2014 Q1, prices of frequently purchased goods were lower by 0.1% in hyper and supermarkets, year-on-year. In April 2013, they were up 0.7% compared with the same month one year ago.

In the year to April 2014, prices of frequently purchased goods decreased more in large and predominantly food stores in April 2014 (—0.2% year-on-year after —0.1% in March 2014).

Considering all kinds of stores, prices of frequently purchased goods remained broadly unchanged year-on-year in April 2014 (after +0.1% in the year to March 2014).

Excluding unprocessed food, Food prices stabilised in the hyper and supermarkets in April 2014.

After a slight increase in March 2014 (+0.1%), prices of food and beverages, excluding fresh foodstuffs, stabilised in hyper and supermarkets in April 2014. They increased by 0.1% year-on-year in April 2014 (as in March 2014). In April 2013, they were up 0.8% compared with those of one year ago.

In April 2014, meat prices remained stable in hyper and supermarkets (after —0.3% in March 2014); year-on-year, they rose by 0.9% (up from 0.8% in March 2014). In April 2013, they grew by 3.2% compared with the same month one year ago.

In hyper and supermarkets, beverage prices stabilised in April 2014 after a slight increase in March 2014 (+0.1%). Year-on-year, beverage prices changed a little for the last three months (+0.1% in April 2014, as in February and March 2013). In April 2013, beverage prices rose by 1.2% year-on-year in hyper and supermarkets.

Excluding unprocessed food, prices of the other food products increased by 0.1% in hyper and supermarkets in April 2014 after +0.2% in March 2014. In the year to April 2014, they decreased by 0.3% (after —0.4% between March 2013 and March 2014 and after —0.6% between April 2012 and April 2013).

Prices of cleaning and personal care products decreased again in April 2014 in hyper and supermarkets

Prices of cleaning and personal care products decreased by 0.3% after, respectively —0.2% and —0.1%, in March 2014 and February 2014. They fell by 1.3% year-on-year in April 2014 (after —1.0% between March 2013 and March 2014).
