In March 2013, the turnover rose slightly in the manufacturing industry (+0.3%), due to a high growth in exports (+3.1%). The turnover increased significantly in the manufacturing industry without the manufacture of transport equip-ment (+1.2%).

Over the quarter (q-o-q), the turnover rose substantially in the manufacturing industry (+1.1%). It increased sharply in the manufacture of transport equipments (+5.9%). It grew moderately in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.8%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+1.0%).
… and remained stable over the last year
Year-on-year, the turnover leveled off in the manufacturing industry (0.0%). It rose sharply in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+3.5%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+2.3%). On the other hand, it decreased significantly in other industries (–1.4%) and in the manufacture of food and refined petroleum products (–5.8%).

In April 2013, the turnover increased in other industries (+1.2%), mainly in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (+2.0%). It grew in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+1.5%) and in the electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+1.3%). It remained stable in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum (+0.1%). On the contrary, it fell considerably in the manufacture of transport equipment (–3.9%) after a high rise in March (+10.2%), due to a steeply decline in the manufacture of other transport equipment (–11.5%).
