In January 2014, manufacturing output increased by 0.7%, after having remained stable in December 2013. On the opposite, output decreased slightly in industrial production as a whole (–0.2%, after –0.6% in December 2013).
In January 2014, manufacturing output increased by 0.7%, after having remained stable in December 2013. On the opposite, output decreased slightly in industrial production as a whole (–0.2%, after –0.6% in December 2013).
During the last three months, manufacturing output improved moderately (+0.4%)…
During the last three months (q-o-q), output improved moderately in the manufacturing sector (+0.4%), as well as in industry as a whole (+0.3%).
Output rose in other manufacturing (+0.4%), in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+0.6%), and in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.2%). Moreover it went up by +5.3% in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products. Meanwhile, output decreased by 0.4% in the manufacture of transport equipment.
… and was higher than its last year’s level by 1.1%.
Manufacturing output went up by 1.1% (y-o-y).
Output soared in the manufacture of transport equipment (+8.3%) and improved in a less sustained pace in other manufacturing (+0.5%) and in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (+1.4%). On the opposite, output declined in the manufacture of food products and beverages (–2.2%) as well as in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (–2.9%).

In January 2014, output increased strongly in the manufacture of transport equipment (+4.7%)…
Output improved strongly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+9.7%) whereas it decreased slightly in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (–0.3%).
… and more moderately in other manufacturing (+0.3%).
Output went up in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment products (+2.0%), and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+2.7%). On the contrary, output declined in manufacture of rubber and plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (–1.0%) and in the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products (–3.9%).
Output rebounded in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+12.6%).
Output increased by 12.6% in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, after last month decrease last month due to social movements.
On the contrary, output decreased in « Mining and quarrying; energy; water supply; waste management » (–4.4%)…
Output went down in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (–5.6%), due to the clement climate in January.
… and in the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment; machine equipment (–2.7%).
Output decreased significantly in the manufacture of electrical equipment (–4.6%), in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (–4.0%) and to a lesser extent in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (–0.6%).
