According to the business leaders interviewed in October 2011, the situation in the retail trade and in the trade and repair of motor vehicles slightly improves: the synthetic indicator increases by one point, but is however still clearly below its long-term average.

Recent sales stabilized. The corresponding balance remains very low. Expected sales and ordering intentions evolve little, each of the balances staying significantly below its average. General business outlook slightly progresses, sign that the retailers become a little less pessimistic about the economic situation in the trade sector.
