In May 2011, the turnover increased (+2.1%) in the manufacturing industry, after a slight growth (+0.4%) in April. Exports went up (+3.3%, after –1.1% in April).

Every indices in this issue are in value, seasonally and working-day adjusted.

In May 2011, the turnover increased (+2.1%) in the manufacturing industry, after a slight growth (+0.4%) in April. Exports went up (+3.3%, after –1.1% in April).

In May 2011, the turnover clearly grew in the manufacture of transport equipment (+4.7%), particularly in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+5.8%).

The turnover also increased in the other manufacturing (+1.7%), in the electrical and electronic equipment ; machine equipment (+3.1%) and in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.5%).

It was stable in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+0.0%).

The turnover of the industry as a whole (B to E) was up in May (+2.1%).

In the last three months (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry grew by 2.2%. It particularly increased in the other manufacturing (+2.4%) and in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+2.4%).

Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover in manufacturing industry rose by 10.1%. It was particularly up in the other manufacturing (+9.9%).
