In January 2011, the turnover increased noticeably (+2.2%) in the manufacturing industry, after a growth in December (+0.5%). Exports strongly rose (+6.0%), after a decrease in December (–2.6%).

In January 2011, the turnover increased noticeably (+2.2%) in the manufacturing industry, after a growth in December (+0.5%). Exports strongly rose (+6.0%), after a decrease in December (–2.6%).

The turnover grew significantly in the manufacture of transport equipment (+5.8%), due to a bounce in the manufacture of other transport equipment (+9.9%). It also went up in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (+7.8%).

In January, the turnover increased in the other manufacturing (+1.1%), in the electrical and electronic equipment ; machine equipment (+0.8%) and in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.6%).

The turnover of the industry as a whole (B to E) also rose in January (+2.4%).

Quarter-on-quarter (Q/Q–1), the turnover in the manufacturing industry grew by 3.6%. It was mostly up in the other manufacturing (+2.8%) and in the manufacture of transport equipment (+5.8%).

Year-on-year (Q/Q–4), the turnover in manufacturing industry rose by 9.3%. It particularly grew in the other manufacturing (+9.0%).
