The French business climate still improving in October 2010 Business climate indicator and turning point indicator - October 2010

According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate still improves in October 2010. The indicator reaches 104, and is above its long term average for the second month. This favourable climate is perceptible in nearly all sectors : business leaders’ answers suggest a significant improvement in industry, retail trade and services. However, business leaders’answers stay less optimistic in building industry.

According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate still improves in October 2010. The indicator reaches 104, and is above its long term average for the second month. This favourable climate is perceptible in nearly all sectors : business leaders’ answers suggest a significant improvement in industry, retail trade and services. However, business leaders’answers stay less optimistic in building industry.

At the same time, the turning point indicator clearly remains in the favourable zone for more than one year. This shows continuous signs of a coming recovery.
