According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate remains stable in May 2010. The indicator remains around 96 as in April, that is 28 points above the minimum record reached in March 2009. However, this stabilization hides differences among economic sectors : business leaders’ answers suggest an improvement in industry, building and wholesale trade but a slowdown in retail trade.
According to the business leaders of the main economic sectors, the French business climate remains stable in May 2010. The indicator remains around 96 as in April, that is 28 points above the minimum record reached in March 2009. However, this stabilization hides differences among economic sectors : business leaders’ answers suggest an improvement in industry, building and wholesale trade but a slowdown in retail trade.
At the same time, the turning point indicator remains in the favourable zone for one year, after a year and a half in the unfavourable zone. This shows continuous signs of a coming recovery.
