In March, new orders in industry increased by 2.6% Industrial new orders index - March 2010

In March 2010, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) increased by 2.6%, after a minor decrease in February (-0.2%; first estimate: –0.6%).

In March 2010, new orders received in industry (except heavy transport equipment) increased by 2.6%, after a minor decrease in February (-0.2%; first estimate: –0.6%).

Non domestic new orders increased in March (+2.9%).

Over the last quarter, new orders decreased in industry (-0.5%)

Over the last quarter, non domestic new orders rose (+4.7% q-o-q).

New orders decreased by 9.8% (q-o-q) in automobile and by 2.2% “electrical and electronic equipment”. On the contrary, in the “other manufacturing” sector, new orders increased by 2.9%.

Compared to last year, new orders are higher (+8.5%)

The quarterly level of new orders is 8.5% higher than a year ago.
