In December, the turnover declines in the information and communication sector (–1.2 %) after rising in November (+1.0 ). In business support activities, it slightly decreases (–0,4 %) after a growth in November too (+1.0 %). The turnover is broadly steady in the wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles, (+0.1 %) and in real estate activities (+0.1 %); it edges up in transportation and storage (+0.3 %).
Every indices in this issue are in value, seasonnally and working-day ajusted.
In December, the turnover declines in the information and communication sector (–1.2 %) after rising in November (+1.0 ). In business support activities, it slightly decreases (–0,4 %) after a growth in November too (+1.0 %). The turnover is broadly steady in the wholesale trade except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (+0.1 %) and in real estate activities (+0.1 %); it edges up in transportation and storage (+0.3 %).
In Q4 2009, the turnover expands in all these sectors : “wholesale trade…” (+1.5 %, q-o-q), “information and communication” (+1.0 %), “business support activities” (+1.0 %), “transportation and storage” (+0.9 %) and, to a lesser extent, “real estate activities” (+0.2 %).
Compared to the same quarter one year before, the turnover is sharply down in the “wholesale trade…” (–8.8 %) and in transportation and storage (-6.0 %). The decline is smaller in business support activities (–2.4 %). In the mean time, real estate activities edges up (+0.6 %). Information and communication turnover stands approximately at the same level than a year ago (–0.2 %).
